I started using “Tribal Pages” only recently, but before that I had already written several Word files about family history, more than 200 pages in total.
Fortunately the “Tribal Pages” genealogy software package now allows one (the Administrator) to upload all those Word files to “Tribal Pages”, unchanged
[while retaining the Word features (italics and/or bold, different font sizes, tables, equations, equation numbering, etc.)]
The problem that I have is that: the “Tribal Pages” package lets me upload some Word files directly to Tribal Pages, without any problem, but refuses to upload some other very similar Word files.
There seems to be no pattern in which Word files it will upload and which it will not.
I am asking why “Tribal Pages” will upload some Word files, but not other very similar Word files ?
For example, “Tribal Pages” had no problem uploading some Word files ranging in size from a few pages (15 kb) to more than 200 pages (4,049 kb).
On the other hand, it refused to upload other Word files of similar sizes and structure.
E.g., it would not upload a Word file consisting of half a page of plain text (with no figures, diagrams, symbols, graphs, charts, footnotes, or refences).
Presumably it had some reason for not uploading the above files.
But we do not know why !
We would be grateful for any advice or suggestions about the above.
That is, why would it upload some Word files but not other very similar Word files.
Thank you for any suggestions or advice.
Best regards.
Malachy Carey.
